EPISODE 13: GUESS WHO?

In which the monsters most painfully attempt to explain how to play the game of Guess Who? (a favorite for the last couple of game nights). Clearly, they only performed for the vlog under duress tonight. And since Mommy ended up winning most of the rounds, I guess I was really really lucky to get anything out of them at all that didn't involve stomping, gritting teeth, or flying game pieces. [Hmm...wonder where they get that from?]

EPISODE 12: GOT FISH???

In which the monsters drone on and on...and on and on...about our quick little afternoon fishing trip-turned unexpected 3-hour wilderness adventure. Except they tend to leave out all the adjectives, adverbs, and nouns, and only really fill 7 minutes of film with transitional phrases like, "and after that we..."

So, here's the gist of it:

	It was the perfect cool but sunny afternoon to take a walk down to the lake. [Can't you just HEAR the Andy Griffith theme song playing?]
	When very shortly after this picture was taken, the 6-year-old twin terrors decided they were bored and ready to move on from the whole 15 minutes we had devoted to the actual fishing portion of our fishing outing.
	But as luck would have it, we managed to scrape up a few mudbugs and clams before, evidently, deciding to follow the female spawn up a cool-looking shortcut that, unfortunately, was neither.

Two-and-a-half hours later...

We'd scaled one mountainside too many, scraped up our elbows and knees, lost the majority of our crawfish water, but emerged triumphantly on the other side...and just in time for dinner, too. And no, it was not crawfish and clam chowder (much to their chagrin). We're, apparently, holding them (still) in our garage in vicious vengeance for their treacherous trickery in deceiving us into believing a shortcut is a shortcut is a shortcut. THAT should teach them!

EPISODE 11: FIRST DAY OF FIRST GRADE

In which the monsters attempt to describe their first day of first grade (in separate classes, even). Can you believe it??? :)

EPISODE 10: FLUSHED AWAY

In which the monsters attempt to rationalize their OCD over watching Flushed Away at least a bezillion times since Saturday night's movie night. Personally, I still don't get this one.

EPISODE 9 - THE UBER-LONG TAILED CAT AND THE TAIL-LESS MOUSE

In which the monsters attempt to explain their current game, which turns into a story, which turns into an epic, with no discernible beginning, middle, or end, which then quickly sounds like any member of my mother's family around the dinner table over the holidays.

EPISODE 8 - THANK YOU, MRS. DALY

In which the monsters make a very feeble and hurried attempt to express their affection and appreciation for their beloved Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Daly. Maybe we'll try this again in the Fall when they get their new 1st grade teachers and begin to realize how very good they actually had it.

EPISODE 7 - CHATTING WITH MOMMY

In which the monsters discuss their first time instant messaging Mommy while she's on a business trip, a verrrry tedious task that will not soon be repeated, as the quickly dying art of telephone conversation and even the always technically challenging video chatting is just soooo much less painful for Mama to have to sit through (at least until I can get them to two-finger type).

EPISODE 6 - THE MOTHER'S DAY SHOW

In which the monsters "dress up fancy," donning my scarf (her) and Mommy's vest and his own fedora (him) in order to discuss what they liked and didn't like about Mother's Day.
